Birtyday month.

Well in the middle of July I will be having my birthday :). If you would like to send me a card or something let me know. I will be making my wine, and if everything turns out well I might even be able to ship it to friends. I dont have a liscense to sell it, but if you wanted to pay for shipping and the bottle (Friggen things are expensive) or a birthday present I could send a bottle. Making up 1 bottle of red (Vellopolicea) and one white (johnsburge restling). If someone felt up to drawing a bit of something for the lable, could work out a trade of a few bottles for a lable to slap on them :). Let me know :).

Shipping any kind of liquor outside of Texas is illegal. It's a state law.

I went to my local usps and shipped a bottle of wine up to my parents in IL about 3 months ago. When did this law go into effect or change?

It's a federal offense to ship any alcohol through the USPS anywhere.

Also here is some info on shipping wine.

Basically it's illegal to ship from Texas without the proper permits.

It's legal to ship through UPS or Fedex if you are selling it and have a permit. But nothing says what the law is if you arn't a seller.

Go check the TABC website. Yes they have permits for those who want to ship their own beer and wine.

I used to help run a local Moose Lodge so I have some experience when dealing with TABC.

Make yer own beer or wine and you'll be considered a manufacturer according to TABC.

That doesn't matter, I'm allowed to make 200 gallons of wine a year with out a liscense or permit.

Manufacturing and distribution are two completely different things regarding legality and permits. You do not want to have TABC knocking on your door regarding the distribution of liquor.

Also I forgot to mention there are other areas that also have laws that make it illegal to receive liquor as well.

I hope you have a good lawyer on hand.
